> Sygal is a desktop app for macOS and Windows, plus a companion CLI, that converts documents and images into clean Markdown and structured JSON. ## What Sygal does

## Privacy

- Document conversion is 100% local; documents never leave the device and there is no account to create.
- Only images sent through OCR reach a third-party API, and only the provider the user explicitly chooses, with the user's own key. The same applies to any URL the user chooses to import.
